Professional Experience

Meredith F. McBride is an associate at Tibbetts Keating & Butler, LLC. Ms. McBride is a member of the litigation department with a primary focus on family and health law.

As a family law attorney, Ms. McBride handles all aspects of custody and divorce cases in Connecticut and New York, including pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, parenting plans, motion practice, trials, post-judgment litigation, and appeals.
Ms. McBride has completed the Connecticut Judicial Branch Attorney for the Minor Child/Guardian Ad Litem Training and participates in the Stamford Family Volunteer Program.

As a healthcare attorney, Ms. McBride engages in managed care litigation and assisting in provider-payor disputes. Ms. McBride has successfully pursued insurance companies for underpayment on claims for medical services rendered by providers, defended medical providers from audits and takeback claims from insurance companies and state agencies, and advised clients on the intricacies of insurance and managed care law, including but not limited to ERISA, the New York Emergency Medical Services and Surprise Bill Law, and the Affordable Care Act. Additionally, Ms. McBride has assisted patients in obtaining proper payment and coverage for medical claims.

Ms. McBride also handles probate, housing, and general litigation matters at the firm. Prior to joining Tibbetts Keating and Butler, LLC, Ms. McBride practiced law in New York City at law firms specializing in civil and commercial litigation.

Ms. McBride received her Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and graduated from Boston College with Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and Communications.  Ms. McBride is admitted to practice in the States of Connecticut and New York as well as the United States District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Ms. McBride is actively involved with the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, serving on both the Celebrating Hope committee and Norwalk Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee. Ms. McBride was selected to be a member of the 2016 Class of Women’s Champions for the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Ms. McBride is a member of the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk and YWCA of Darien/Norwalk.
